Our eco-friendly focuses means we attempt to reduce, prevent or eliminate the environmental hazards and impacts of our company’s employees, products & services. ARK attempts to reduce waste and the consumption of resources by designing products to minimize their environmental impact. By simply replacing neon sign lighting with LEDs, users can see huge energy savings with less maintenance and longer life, all while eliminating mercury content. As a company we also recycle almost every part of a sign (i.e. aluminum, plastic faces, transformers, ballasts, wire and dangerous gases) as well as require environmental awareness training of all of our employees. Providing earth friendly products and services as well as a commitment to recycling are only part of the solution and we are dedicated to a program of continual improvement and expanding our green efforts to our company culture as well. Our new headquarters utilizes 100% recycled medical polyvinyl flooring which can also be recycled, energy efficient lighting throughout the workplace, LED signage and is committed to enhancing company digital technology to reduce paper waste. We also utilize the award winning “Bulb Eater” for lamp recycling which provides reduced labor costs, reduced storage space use, safe disposal of dangerous gases and reduced recycling expenses. Company leadership is committed to complying with all applicable local, state and federal environmental regulations as well as protecting the health and safety of our employees, surrounding communities and ecosystems. We also work collaboratively with our customers, suppliers and the surrounding community on environmental issues. We will make every effort to ensure that environmental performance is an integral part of ARK’s performance and of the performance of our employees and will measure periodically to help us realize these commitments.
